Television Broadcasts to Muslims

Friday, November 26, 2021

As technology grows, so do ways to spread the Gospel into otherwise closed countries and homes.

Television by satellite and on the internet is a powerful tool to reach Muslims with the Good News. Whole families can be brought to the Kingdom as they sit in their own homes watching good Christian programs on television.

This is how Fatima a-Mutairi heard about Christ and how she read the gospels and gave her heart to Jesus. And all that in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, albeit secretly. Later her her brother killed her.

Prayer

God our Father, you are the God of all creation and creativity. You have given man the ability to develop satellites and television. Give your Church a wide range of opportunities to present to Muslims the Gospel of our Lord and Master on satellite television. Give your people wisdom to create Christian programs for television broadcasting that will speak to the heart and soul of Muslims, capture their attention, and bring them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Protect speakers from offering a watered-down message for the sake of staying on the air.

We pray for engineers, technicians and other workers. May they turn their skills and talents over to you so that they produce programs anointed with power by the Holy Spirit.

Promise

For he is the living God and he endures forever… He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth (Daniel 6:26,27).

Radio Broadcasts to Muslims

Friday, November 19, 2021

For decades, God has used the radio waves to reach out with the message of Christ to people in Russia, China, Muslim countries, and many other areas.

Since evangelizing Muslims is forbidden in their countries, such radio programs are considered illegal, and therefore there is no Gospel radio ministry to Muslims that originates inside a Muslim country.

Yet, Christian organizations broadcast the Gospel message from outside Muslim countries, and many many Muslims have accepted Christ in their hearts as they have listened to the message of the cross.

Furthermore, for many Muslim converts, Gospel radio programs are the only means of fellowship with other Christians.

Prayer

I pray for a special anointing on those who preach your Word over the radio waves. Anoint them to preach the full Gospel message clearly and powerfully.

I pray in the name of Jesus that thousands of new listeners will tune into Christian radio broadcasts this week. O Holy Spirit, transform their hearts. Cause them to confess their sins, repent of their ways, and surrender their lives to Christ, the Savior and Lord.

O Lord, through these broadcasts, comfort our brothers and sisters who have accepted you and who look forward to these times of fellowship and spiritual uplifting. Build up their faith and encourage them.

Promise

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

Prayer in Islam

Friday, November 12, 2021

Muslims are enjoined to pray five times a day. Before prayer they take off their shoes and wash certain parts of their bodies in order to be clean in the presence of God. This ritual is called ablution.

After washing they stand on a prayer rug and face Mecca and perform certain prescribed body movements and prostrations as they recite statements about God in Arabic. They commit these statements to memory at a young age. In other words, a Muslim’s prayers are not free conversations with God. According to Muslim belief, prayer is a good deed which gains a person favor and good standing with God.

Prayer

Father in heaven, I draw near to you, encouraged by your promise and knowing you hear and answer me. Thank you.

Lord Jesus, thank you for the benefits of the cross. You were “slain and with your blood you purchased people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation” (Revelation 5:9). I pray for Muslim peoples all over the world. Grant them to open their spiritual eyes to see you in your love and sacrifice for them. Open their hearts to receive the benefits of the resurrected life.

Lord God, help Muslims understand that man cannot gain favor with you by performing religious duties or doing good, rather only through faith in Jesus Christ. May they realize that the only way to approach Almighty God is through Jesus Christ. He is the only one who cleanses us from sin.

I pray that many will find true freedom through the liberating power of Christ. May they find access to your throne through the finished work of the cross. May they sense your awesome and tender presence in their lives today.

According to the riches of your grace. Amen.

Promise

The Lord saw [their] bitter suffering… there was no one to help them. And it was not in his purpose to blot [their name] out… so he saved them… (2 Kings 14: 26-27, SAB).

Non-Arab Muslims in Arab Countries

Friday, November 5, 2021

There are many Muslims in Arab countries who are not of Arab stock. Examples are the Berbers in North Africa, the Kurds in the Middle East, Nubians in southern Egypt and northern Sudan, and so forth. These people are proud of their lineage, albeit despised by their Arab compatriots.

In recent years there has been a mighty move of God among some of these peoples. Many are coming to Christ. The underground Church is growing among them.

Prayer

We thank you Father for the many people in these groups who are accepting Christ as Lord and Savior. We pray that they will continue to be faithful to you. Give them, O Father, anointed leadership who will help in the gathering in and maturing of this vast harvest.

We pray for them to have courage. Bless their efforts to establish Bible schools and literature programs even in such hostile environments. Send them a mighty revival. Pour out your Holy Spirit on them.

Promise

God is mighty, but does not despise men…[he] gives the afflicted their rights (Job 36:5,6).
