Regarding Muslims
Friday, June 21, 2019
Vision has its source in faith. By faith we see what does not exist but can exist. A dream can be realized by faith.
Although we are seeing a great harvest in missions work, the Church needs a fresh vision regarding Islam and the Muslim world. Our strategies, our great missionary tools and our intelligent methods will not suffice. They can never substitute for having a vision from heaven! Nothing can replace a God-given vision to bring Muslims to the Kingdom.
We need to have our spiritual eyes opened. We need a new revelation from God concerning his desire for Muslims and what he wants us to do to rescue the perishing and care for the dying.
Prayer
Most High God, our Heavenly Father, sharpen your Church’s spiritual perception. Open our eyes to see what others cannot see: that Muslims are coming and will come to Jesus by faith. May the Church catch a vision of the things you have in store for Muslims. Help us to see the fields as you see them, ripe and white and ready for harvest. May your Holy Spirit come upon us with power. May our young people see visions and old people have dreams—heaven-sent, Christ-centered dreams and visions (Acts 2:17).
Almighty God, awaken the Church out of her slumber to march forward and claim the lands you promised her! May she honor you by taking possession of this last frontier in missions. We ask you to bless us by allowing us to be part of the great ingathering of precious souls into the Kingdom of Christ. May Muslims come to you by the millions and sing praises to Jesus the victorious Redeemer, Savior and King!
In his name, by your Spirit, for your glory I pray. Amen.
Promise
The LORD confides his purposes to those who fear him; his covenant is for their instruction (Psalm 25:14, REB).
