Year of the Lord’s Favor

At the synagogue in Nazareth, Jesus read this passage from the prophet Isaiah:

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me…. to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor (Luke 4:18-19; Isaiah 61:1-2).

The time is ripe for Muslims to come in throngs to Jesus and accept him as the only Lord and Savior. Some traits of modern Islamic societies will prove to be amazing catalysts to bring millions of Muslims to Christ. One such characteristic is staunch loyalty to their group, be it family, clan, tribe, or a social set. This will help bring large numbers to the Kingdom.

Another feature of Islamic society is all-out dedication to their religion. So when they shift their allegiance to Jesus, they will very likely become committed Christ-worshippers, willing to sacrifice their lives for the Savior.

Prayer

Great God, compassionate Father and mighty Savior, we bless your holy name. We pray that you will demonstrate your awesome power among the nations (Psalm 77:14). Prepare us, your children, to do our part and fulfill your Great Commission to take the Gospel to the whole world. Help us bring Muslims to the Kingdom of Christ.

Show Muslims your favor. As Abraham pleaded for the lost in Sodom and Gomorrah, we ask you to give Muslims a chance to accept Christ. You love them. Jesus died for them. Rescue them from the doom of sin.

Visit Muslim lands by your Holy Spirit. Send them a new Day of Pentecost. May we see them flock into your Kingdom by the millions.

We worship you alone, God the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are yours before all time, and now, and beyond all time! Hallelujah. Amen (Jude 1:25).

Promise

In the time of my favor I will answer you… I will… make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritance, to say to the captives, “Come out,” and to those in darkness, “Be free!” (Isaiah 49:8-9, NIV).
