Disappointed With Religion

Friday, April 29, 2016

More and more, young Muslims are becoming dissatisfied and disillusioned with their religion. They feel confused and frustrated because they lack a sense of fulfillment and they have no assurance of eternity. As they rebel against the rigid belief system, many of them, whenever they get a chance, exit through any crack they can find! But the question is, “Exit to where or to what?”

The Church of Jesus Christ needs to do everything in her power to welcome them to the foot of the cross of our Savior.

Prayer

“Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty” (1 Chronicles 29:11).

I fall to my knees and pray to you, my Father, 3.15NLT Ephesians 3.Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from your glorious, unlimited resources you will empower your Church to open her arms to Muslims. Give her love, wisdom, power and strategy to bring them to you.

Lord Christ, King of kings and Master of all, make your home in Muslims’ hearts as they trust in you. May their roots grow deep into God’s love. Give them the power to understand and experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully (Ephesians 3: 14-19).

May none of those who are disillusioned with Islam be lost to heresies, atheism or immorality! Bring them into your Kingdom, I pray.

“Blessed be your majesty in heaven, O God” (Ezekiel 3:12). In the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Promise

The Lord… gives food to the hungry, the Lord sets prisoners free… the Lord opens the eyes of the blind… the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down… the Lord sustains the fatherless and the widow (Psalm 146:6-9, SAB).

Spiritual Warfare

Friday, April 22, 2016

We are involved in warfare, not against people of any religion, race or persuasion, but against evil forces and powers that control the dark realms of this world (Ephesians 6:12).

In this warfare, we do not use armaments and bombs to kill and destroy humans and buildings. Rather, our weapons are faith in God, complete dependence upon his eternal Word, empowerment by the Spirit of Truth, and prayer and intercession. These are the weapons that can demolish Satan’s power and defeat all demonic plans against the Kingdom of God.

When we pray, the Spirit of the Lord draws people to Jesus. As they receive his Word and decide to live for him, he empowers them to lead decent, holy lives. Every soul thus rescued is a blow to Satan and a victory for Christ our King.

Prayer

King Messiah, Lord of all and Master over all the universe, we worship you. You alone are God. We pray that Muslims will come to you through the cross of Jesus. We also pray for ourselves. We are engaged in a fierce warfare and struggle against Satan, our adversary. Help us put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18).

Fill us with resolve and courage, and strengthen those among us who are tempted to quit in the heat of the battle. Help us all to stand firm in the face of unrighteousness and conquer Satan, the world and self. Crown us with purity, holiness and victory that come only from you.

Teach us to love as you love and forgive as you forgive.

In the name that is above every name, the name of Jesus, amen.

Promise

We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, NLT).

Valley Of Siddim

Friday, April 15, 2016

In a war that took place during Abraham’s time, the defeated kings tried to escape, but they fell into tar pits in the Valley of Siddim (read Genesis 14). Many Muslims today who try to escape from Islam fall into the “tar pits” of atheism and other unsatisfying beliefs and lifestyles!

Khaled “happened” to sit next to me in church one Sunday. I noticed him and asked him if he was a Muslim. He said, “Yes.” After church, I talked with him and introduced him to the pastor. He placed his faith in Christ and was baptized in water. Yet, about two years later, he was lured into a sinful lifestyle. He had escaped from Islam but had fallen into a “tar pit”!

Prayer

Most High God, our Maker and Redeemer, thank you for giving us the privilege and responsibility of interceding for 1.5 billion Muslims. I pray for your Church. May we be ready for the exit of hundreds of millions of Muslims from Islam into the light of Christ.

Show us how to help and give direction to Muslims as they turn from their religion. May your divine love in us attract them to the cross. Visit us with the power of your Holy Spirit so we can hold Muslims by the hand and lead them to Calvary.

As Muslims leave their old religion, may they experience the light of the knowledge of God’s glory, which shines from Christ’s face (2 Corinthians 4:6). Protect them from falling into perilous pits.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, one eternal God. Amen.

Promise

“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them” (Isaiah 42:16, NIV).

Year Of The Lord’s Favor

Friday, April 8, 2016

At the synagogue of Nazareth, Jesus read this passage from the prophet Isaiah:

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke 4:18-19; Isaiah 61:1-2, NIV).

The time is ripe for Muslims to come in throngs to Jesus and accept Him as the only Lord and Savior. Some of the traits and features of modern Islamic societies will prove to be incredible catalysts to bring millions of Muslims to Christ. One such characteristic is their staunch loyalty to their group, whether it be family, clan, tribe, or a social set. This will help bring large numbers to the Kingdom.

Another characteristic of Islamic society is their all-out dedication to their religion. Consequently, when they shift their allegiance to the Lord, they will very likely become committed Christ-worshippers who are willing to sacrifice their lives for the Savior.

Prayer

Great God, compassionate Father and mighty Savior, we bless your holy name. We pray that you will demonstrate your awesome power among the nations (Psalm 77:14). What can we do for the hundreds of millions of lost Muslims? Prepare us, your children, to do our part and fulfill your divine desires concerning us. Help us do our best to bring Muslims to the Kingdom of Christ.

Show Muslims your favor. As Abraham pleaded for the lost in Sodom and Gomorrah, we ask you to give Muslims a chance to accept Christ. Have mercy on them, Lord. You love them. Jesus died for them. Rescue them from the doom of sin.

Storm Muslim lands with a divine visitation of your Holy Spirit. Send them a new Day of Pentecost. May we see them flock into your Kingdom by the millions.

We worship you alone, God the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are yours before all time, and now, and beyond all time! Amen (Jude 1:25).

Hallelujah, amen.

Promise

In the time of my favor I will answer you… I will… make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritance, to say to the captives, “Come out,” and to those in darkness, “Be free!” (Isaiah 49:8-9, NIV).
